I was just reading about the exhibit by artist Peyton, who has done portraits of people such as Curt Cobain. She has a show at a gallery in New York City and her portrait of Michelle Obama was just sold to an undisclosed buyer. There were quite a few articles, but I had a hard time tracking down an image of the actual painting. When I did, I noticed that it is going to be displayed in the Twin Cities before long.

This comes from Pamela Kealey, who wrote to us about the Obama fundraiser she and Fay Jones organized and held at the Catherine Person Gallery in Seattle. Over two dozen Seattle artists donated hand-painted and custom designed T-shirts, which sold out in just minutes. The event raised $5,558 for the Obama campaign.
